Be with us, gracious God, through the hours of this night. Keep with watch with those who work and watch on behalf of others. Give them wisdom and competence in emergencies. Soothe the sick, hold the dying, and comfort those who mourn. Help us to see and respond to the needs of others in these coming days. All this we ask through Christ our Lord, our light in the darkness. Amen.
