Message from Pastor Anna:
Euclid said that the shortest distance between two points is a straight line. To get across the circle of the labyrinth efficiently, we could stride across it. But the object of the labyrinth is not efficiency. It twists and turns as we follow the path back and forth covering the interior of the circle so that we are slowed down, made to slow our thoughts to match the pace. Slowing down the thoughts, letting them twist and turn, makes room for the Holy Spirit to speak in them, gets us from a goal centered (getting from here to there) to a process centered (the journey is the goal) mode, sometimes called meditation. May the Holy Spirit bless your journeys.
