May God bless your day and your journey.  Welcome to Advent!  If you are a first-time visitor to this website, a special welcome!  As I begin to find my way around the new building myself, I'm delighted to show you around.

At Advent we think of ourselves as being part of a vast pilgrim group following Christ into God's future, and we invite pilgrim and sojourners from everywhere to join our band as a part of that pilgrimage for as long as God calls them to this place.  Some spend a large part of their earthly lives at Advent and others receive their formation and go on to ministries elsewhere.  Others are nourished as at an oasis while they are in transition, and some serve God here for a while and then move on to the future, different service in another place.  For all these pilgrims we give thanks to God and pray that we may help everyone who comes here meet their needs for worship, learning, fellowship and sharing.

We are in walking distance (up 23rd St.) from Crystal City and the Metro.  A Metro bus stops outside our door.  There is plenty of parking.  The sanctuary is handicapped accessible.  We provide a fully equipped nursery at the 10 am Sunday worship and 9 am Bible study.  At 11:30 we often have a Forum to connect our faith to our community and daily life.  I would love to tell you more!  You may email me.
